Divine Vessel

I dream of a time when every body
remembers that their vessel is divine.

For far too long, our bodies have been
Objectified. Criticized. Fetishized.

Colonial // eurocentric
beauty standards sold us a capitalist lie.
They did everything in their power to make us forget
& hate our colorful bodies, souls and hearts.

That’s changing now. Our DNA remembers deeply.
I see more and more people embracing their true colors.
Embracing that they come from rich and creative cultures.

I once despised my body, I was never going to fit into the mold.
Though I never meant to stand out, I always did.
My ancestors were always behind me.
Cheering me on, helping me shine.
Helping me prepare for what was to come.
Reminding me I come from the rainbow & the stars.

The time of great change. I see it now…
A new earth where we all remember we are divine creations.
Pachamama loved us so much she gave us her best qualities.

Unique shapes, unique sizes; a vessel that is one of a kind.

I now adore my body, it has held me with so much love.
My body has been a home.
My vessel has birthed two beautiful beings.

My body is everything to me.
I am so grateful. We are still here.
Reclaiming the beauty and power
of the great ones who came before us.
